We start our lessons by asking students to tell us what they remember we went over from last week. We write their answers on the board to refresh everyones memory before we start our new lesson.

For one of our lessons we asked students to make posters for things that they wanted to advocate for and were interested in.

We made students present their ideas to the class so that we could get an idea as to the kinds of things they might like to fight or advocate for at school 

An example pros and cons list created for our 'Policing in Schools' lesson through class-wide discussion. These allow students to realize that there's both advantages and limitations to each student right. At the end of the day, each right is associated with a responsibility.

Throughout our lessons we have class discussions where we try and get everyone to participate and share their ideas.
